What's That ?!? 2012 week 3

As no-one has yet made a guess as to last week's teaser I'm going to give it another week before giving out the answer.

This week there are three photos of the same thing, just different angles as it were.




There seems to be a weird dot at the bottom of each photo which I'm guessing is something to do with the camera that came with the microscope. Very strange!
