I think all the wet weather has provided me with a problem I've not really had before:
Can you spot the difference? The top photo should be aubergine like the one below.
Some of the peas have been nibbled too.
It appears we have a snail problem, but given that on occasion Toni has been known to eat them, I think it might be a good idea not to use snail pellets.
So in no particular order I give you:
Butternut squash
Beetroot
Carrots
Chillies
Courgette / zucchini
Mange tout
Onions
Potatoes
Strawberry in flower
Rasberry flower buds
July 2011
May 2012

Makes me wish I had more garden to work with... I have only a tomato plant in spot in the patio. Another time I might try to do a hydroponic fence. Will be watching this spot!
ReplyDeleteThat strawberry looks like its in a pot to me! ;D
ReplyDeleteYes it is, they had to be rescued from the cruel clutches of the smothering raspberries. :-P
DeleteI just remembered this about snails... you can put out a low edged saucer with beer and they will be drawn to it, and die an alcoholic (but happy, I suppose) death leaving your plants alone...
ReplyDeleteI enjoy my flower bed, but am not talented enough for a true garden. Your's looks beautiful! I especially lover you fish pond!
