21st Garden - April

I nipped out while it was still sunny and my porridge was cooking and took my photos. Even as I type, the sky is clouding over.

Aubergines

Blackcurrant

Butternut Squash

Chillies

Courgettes
Onions (oh and weeds)

Pea (plus weeds)

Potatoes (what do you mean "where"?)

Raspberries

Rhubarb

Strawberries

Tomatoes

Zucchini
The beetroot, carrots and swedes are too hard to identify yet, may be next month.

  1. I love these pictures! It gives me some ideas. Question. How do you keep the bugs out of your potatoes? (I fed your fish. I was careful not to overfeed them.)

  2. Hi Birdie. This is the first year we have tried growing potatoes so I guess we're keeping our fingers crossed no bugs fancy them. Our real problems lie with the carrots. We are trying a different variety this year in the hope the carrot fly stays away.

  4. I'm impressed by all the pics except two! How come you have TWO pictures of the offending vegetable and what's the difference between courgettes and zuchini - other than one looks bigger than the other there? :D

    1. There is no difference between courgettes and zucchinis, I was trying to be multi-cultural. I put on two photos because I know how much you love them. ;-)
