Mike has reached rock bottom it seems. Not only is he now off his food, but the endless runs have taken their toll too. I'm grateful to everyone offering moral support. I'm sure you are all right when you say it only lasts a few days, just seems like an eternity to us at the moment. It might not seem so bad if Mike could sleep, but the aforementioned problems combined with the endless disturbances because of the other residents means just as he nods off something or someone wakes him.
This is one of those few times when I wish we had private medical care, if only to get Mike a room to himself.

I don't think you'd get a private room even with medical insurance. The BMT at the Royal is NHS and you get your own room - it really must vary hospital to hospital.
ReplyDeleteI started to feel better around Day 13 (after getting them back) - like much better. Poop, poop, poop, much better. Although the martians followed me home!
But everyone is different - I think I mentioned that guy I met Mike's age and all he had was the trots and they cleared up after one dose of medication! Or maybe it was a cork! ;D
STILL sharing a room? With no immune system? I don't understand. Moral support wished upon you both from both of us.
ReplyDeleteI don´t wonder that Mike is struggling and you MUST talk to his doctors about getting him a private room if only until he makes the turn... otherwise they might as well have him out in the hallways... Jeez!
ReplyDeleteStill doing BIG intentions on his behalf!
