Arthur Dent

Today children, I am Arthur Dent. Not the Puritan author and minister (thanks Wiki) but the Hitchhiking one.

"Along with Ford Prefect, Dent barely escapes the Earth's destruction as it is demolished to make way for a hyperspace bypass. Arthur spends the next several years, still wearing his dressing gown, helplessly launched from crisis to crisis while trying to straighten out his lifestyle."

Gosh that sounds familiar. All I need now is my guide with 'DON'T PANIC' on the cover. I wonder if the answer will be 42?

  1. I'm reading this at the moment - I'm up to Chapter 21! I think the mice may be important - do you have your mice? Don't know if computer ones count.

  2. We did have mice but Toni put pay to them! It would appear the hyperspace bypass has been delayed so I may have chance to get some more.

  3. One cannot straighten anything out in a dressing gown! No wonder Dent is having problems... but it's a better alternative than none at all, I suppose. Here's intending that the mice can be got if they are important. If I should see some in my travels, shall I forward them to you?

I was going to wait and post a comment after reading but the reference to hgttg hit too close to home as it's one of my favorite books of all tiime. Still reading but I hope all six well!
