Thinning Thursdays - week 14

Another Thursday already. My, where do the weeks go. I only have 39 days until the big day. Don't panic Lorna you'll get it all done. On my to do list is:
  • Buy shoes. I just can't find the right ones. I did buy a pair from eBay, but when they arrived they were not as unblemished as the seller had described them. So back to the drawing board.
  • Finish off pearl necklaces for the day and make earrings.
  • Sew some of the same pearls onto headgear.
  • Decide what I am going to do about my hair.
  • Organise hen night. Even more important now that we have Dave and Lynne  coming over from Australia for the wedding. Dave has demanded a lads only evening so Lynne and I have got to have a girls only trip up town.
  • Buy Mike a new shirt, tie and suit.
I wonder if William and Kate found things so difficult?

And before I forget, this week's loss is a measly half a pound. Well as they say better off than on.

  1. Just remember you could be barefoot and hair askew and your love will adore you just the same. Big breath!

  2. I agree with Birdie! Can't you find a windswept beach to get married on? VERY impressed at jewellery-making!

  3. I think Will and Kate had it easy. The whole thing was surely planned by others and aside from fittings for their own attire,I'd bet all they had to do was show up.Sounds like a dream come true to me. We bought a house, moved in with Tim's parents for 6 MONTHS(OH NO, I think I just sent Paula into a faint, I can imagine Bud now licking her face trying to rouse her)and planned 2 weddings(ceremony in VT, reception back home a month later) in addition to gutting and rebuilding the master bedroom, plumbing, and bathroom of our new house.
By the time I got to our wedding(in a church built in 1832 back in the woods of Vermont, complete with pot-bellied stove, oil lamps and modified outhouse) I was frazzled.I think I would put buying Mike's outfit at the top of that list. Heaven knows what kind of get-up he'll show up in if you don't get to that! ;)

  4. OMG Denise six months with the outlaws. I now advise people to spend two weeks with them before getting married and then decided how far away they HAVE to live!

Barefoot and askew in Wolverhampton - so that would mean the hen night was the eve of the wedding! ;D
