Alone.

Today I feel so alone. There is no-one to help with the caring. No-one to help with the day to day tasks. No-one to help with the Christmas preparations. No-one to talk to.

If you are reading this, just say hi.

  1. I'm reading this, and I wish I lived near you, as I would love to help. I understand how horrible the whole situation is, especially at this time of year. I hope someone who lives near you and is reading this will reach out. Take care, what you are going through is very difficult, so please take care.

  2. Hi Lorna. I'm sorry you're feeling so alone. Being the sole caregiver for a cancer patient is a lonely business, and you're definitely not alone in feeling that way. I hope that you and Mike have some family around for Christmas to share some holiday cheer.
    Best wishes to you both.

    1. Hi Debra,
Thank you, you are right about it being a lonely job, we will hopefully have people here at some point, although it will only add to the pressure I'm under :)

  3. Hi - I have been reading your blog for the last few years (my husband was dx'd with myeloma December 2011 - no remission, constant chemo and looking at doing another stem cell transplant in January). I appreciate that you write with honesty and truthfulness from a caregiver's point of view. It's not easy is it?

    1. Hi.
Thank you for stopping by, I hope things go well for you both in January. It is the constant treatment that really gets you down, it might not be chemo here but dialysis, but I do have empathy for your situation.
