Just had a call from Mike. They've decided he had better stay in as his kidneys haven't returned to normal.
Oh and as much as I love you all, if anyone else says "best to be on the safe side" I will scream.

I am sorry Lorna. Did they mention how bad the kidneys are or any mention of dialysis or just a small rise in creatinine?

Creatinine has been rising steadily over the weeks. I mentioned it to one of the doctors two weeks ago and they shrugged their shoulders and said it's common with myeloma patients. It is now nearly double the normal upper limit. (We use different measures over here, normal max 120, Mike's 220)

ReplyDelete"Common" is not a reasonable answer. The body does have its way of sending signals and in my humble opinion it is time to push for a better answer to that kind of rise.

ReplyDeleteI have absolutely no idea how I missed this post. Mind you I did text my Auntie Ann 'Happy Birthday to you and Ben' on Wednesday and she didn't get it so goodness knows who it went too! What a sod - about Mike not the text! x

it can also affect the tongue. Praying for you both!
